About Kalin Albertsen

Ms. Kalin Albertsen is a professional gardener and has been working in the field for 10 years. She spent 3 years in training, working side-by-side with Master Gardener Pat Foster, obtaining valuable knowledge on organic gardening techniques and skills in English Garden design.

Kalin was hired in 2003 to work on a grant-funded project with Wayne County designing a natural and non-toxic garden for dementia patients at a local Activity Center and incorporated horticultural therapy techniques into her planning.

In addition to the experience gained directly in the field, Kalin holds a Master's Degree in Business with a major in Project Management.

She has been working in the field ever since her training began 10 years ago, handling small to large scale garden designs and implementations in Livonia, Plymouth and surrounding communities including parts of downriver.

"I pride my work on making each garden suitable for the homeowner and the surrounding conditions, such as soil, lighting, watering availability, etc. With each garden I work on I take into consideration the homeowner's style and preferences."
